Wood Green is a district of North London in the London Borough of Harringay. It is 6.7 miles north of Charing Cross, west of Tottenham, south of Palmers Green and north of Harringay. Wood Green is identified on the London Plan as one of the metropolitan centres in Greater London.

Wood Green is a busy town with a sizable shopping centre close to the tube station. The main shopping street boasts many well known high street stores and stretches from Wood Green Station to Turnpike Lane Station.

Off the main shopping streets, Wood Green is a popular residential area with streets lined with Victorian and Edwardian terraces, many of which have been converted into flats. The area is diverse and is popular for students and sharers.
